Following a meeting on 3/26 of the garden coordinators at the elementary schools we have a garden update...
Here is a simple round-up of garden happenings in the Darien Schools.
Ox Ridge: installed and blooming with bulbs planted with bulbs in the fall. The students are currently raising seeds to be transplanted after the first frost and Monday 3/26 the garden was planted with cold weather-friendly seeds. Exciting!
Hindley: The garden fence is in! Stay tuned for the garden build date, but soon!
Holmes: Planning a garden build in July.
Royle: Finalizing garden plans. Hope to build before the summer. More to come...
Tokeneke: In planning stages. Hope to have garden in for the Fall.
We may have a contact for competitively priced white oak, which would be extremely long lasting in a garden. Noelle is looking into.
